Why March Is Perfect Month to Focus on Nutrition
Every March, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates National Nutrition Month� to encourage healthy eating. Last year�s theme was all about savoring the flavors of nutritious foods. This year, the theme is �Put Your Best Fork Forward� to remind us that each bite counts.
The Academy offers 36 suggestions for everyone to celebrate healthier living during National Nutrition Month�. This year�s tips include eating a variety of healthy foods; cooking at home and experimenting with healthier ingredients; eating and drinking the appropriate portions; participating in enjoyable physical activities; and managing weight.
�Making just small shifts in our food choices can add up over time,� the Academy says of the theme.
